Many projects have an ‘Entitlements’ phase associated with them. This is a collective term which denotes the process of acquiring approval from all governmental and non-direct governmental agencies with jurisdiction over the subject area, these include but are not limited to:
1. City Planning and Building Departments
2. County Agencies: ACHD, etc.
3. Federal Agencies: Water resources, EPA, ADA, etc.
4. Non-direct Governmental Agencies: such as power or canal companies.
Entitlement documents can include:
- Preliminary Plat
- Final Plat
- Certificate of Zoning
- Conditional Use
- Design Review
- Among others
